Samir Bachir, FRI
Samir holds an MBA from Concordia University and is a Fellow in commercial investments. With over 22 years of real estate experience, focusing on commercial and industrial real estate, Samir provides in-depth analysis on the development and implementation of marketing strategies, skilled negotiations and corporate real estate.
Jean-François Bigras, CPM®
Jean-François has worked in real estate since 1986 at companies such as Royal LePage, Mabaie Inc., CN Real Estate and SIGMA Property Management. He currently teaches real estate finance at Université du Québec à Montréal and Société Immobilière du Québec (SIC). He is presently the owner manager of 5 properties (300 units) in the Montreal area.
Mark Bell, CPM® ARM®
Mark has been a member of the Real Estate Institute of Saskatchewan (REIS) since taking his first property management course in 1986. For the past 20 years he has taught property management fundamentals to students across western Canada, bringing a wealth of experience, knowledge and background in senior management. Mark was an REIC Past President and has also served on the REIS board and IREM council.
Natalka Falcomer, CLO
Natalka is a lawyer and founder of Groundworks Realty Services, and is the EVP of corporate development at Chestnut Park. She speaks at various national real estate events and writes for publications such as Real Estate Magazine. Real Estate Professional Magazine named Natalka as one of Canada’s Top 100 Elite Women in Real Estate.
Marg Gourlay, FRI
Marg has been a Broker since 1985, and has been teaching real estate courses since 1986. In the past 30 years she has written and instructed courses for REIC, Ontario Real Estate College, and the Toronto Real Estate Board. Marg has enjoyed a successful career, opening her own company, Develco Realty, in 1990. In 2010 she was accepted by Ontario Superior Court of Justice as an expert witness in relation to the standard of care expected in real estate transactions.
Donna Harding, FRI, SRES®
Donna's thirst for professional knowledge and client-care focus, allowed her company to grow from a “one-lady” team to a highly successful and well-respected real estate Brokerage in only 4 years. As a take-charge negotiator, she knows what it takes to sell. Donna's outstanding leadership and proven market strategies have led to 96% of her business coming directly from referrals through satisfied clients!
Nick Iannazzo, FRI CLO
Nick has been practicing law in Ontario since 1985, specializing in real estate law. His expertise includes real estate development, buying and selling commercial, industrial and residential real estate, financing transactions and commercial leasing. He received his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, as well as real estate certification and a Bachelor of Administrative Studies from York University.
Mary Jones, FRI CRES
Mary is an experienced Broker with RE/MAX Niagara Realty Ltd., who has been active in the real estate industry since 1981. She is the Resource & Development Officer for the brokerage, and instructs many real estate courses and seminars throughout Ontario. Mary's experience and expertise is sought after and respected by the RECO Education Advisory Committee, on which she actively participates.
Saadat Keshavjee, CPM® CMOC
Founder and president of Amhurst Property Management Ltd. in Calgary, Saadat has been engaged in real estate for most of his life. He has worked in all parts of the industry from land acquisition / development to management across real estate sectors. Educated in three continents, Sadaat has been instructing real estate in Canada since 1989, and has been IREM faculty since 1996.
Steve Leistner, FRI(A) CPM® CMOC CRU CRP ACoM
Steve has worked in real estate since the 1970s. Owner of Quest Realty Inc., he is involved in appraisal, acquisition, development, finance, mortgages, property management, construction, manufacturing and advisory. Steve believes in the importance of continued education and bringing real-world experience, ethics and professionalism to the classroom.
Suzanne LeValley, CPM® CMOC
Suzanne has worked in real estate and property management since 1978. Holding the CPM® and CMOC designations, she specializes in condominium management as the owner and operator of Longley Condominium Services Ltd. in Calgary, Alberta. Suzanne has been a faculty member since 2014, and served as REIC President from 2011-2013.
William McCarthy, FRI CPM® CLO, CRE
William has dedicated his life to real estate and academic study, earning a variety of degrees and accreditations. He was one of the first Certified Leasing Officers (CLO) in Canada, and is also one of approximately 1,100 Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) worldwide, a prestigious designation granted only through invitation. He manages his own real estate portfolio while providing property development, management and consulting to select clients.
John Poletes, FRI
Prior to practicing law, John was a broker specializing in commercial real estate. He started his own law practise in 2004, focusing on real estate closings, commercial leasing and business transactions. John has served as OREA and REIC faculty, teaching legal issues and real estate ethics. He also delivers seminars to the brokerage community. John holds an LL.B from Queen’s University and holds a Bachelor of Administrative Studies with a certificate in Real Estate Studies from York University.
Georges Renaud, FRI(E) CPM®
Georges is a 30 year real estate veteran who has participated in the asset, workout and property management of diverse portfolios across Western Canada, Ontario and Quebec. He is currently Executive Vice President of Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance, Director of the REIC Quebec Chapter, and is also an REIC past president. Georges believes in continued education and credentials as a path to a more productive and lucrative career.
Chrystal Skead, CPM® ARM®
Chrystal has been active in the property management industry for 30 years, starting as a resident manager and working to her last corporate position with Bentall Kennedy. She was instrumental in building their national residential business unit from one 92 unit property up to a 4000 unit portfolio. Chrystal received a Certificate in Adult Continuing Education through the University of Alberta, and is a qualified IREM instructor.
Christine Stanley, CPM® CMOC
Christine has over 30 years of experience in residential and commercial property management. Throughout her career she has focused on education and knowledge, serving on multiple real estate councils at the national level. Christine is a continuing studies instructor at Langara College, Past President of REIC and the REIC BC chapter, and is an REIC Emeritus.
Gerald Tostowaryk, FRI CLO
Gerald has been a licensed real estate agent in the Edmonton area since 1991. He initially sold residential real estate and transferred into the commercial sales and leasing field in 2003. He was an active instructor for the Alberta Real Estate Association for approximately 15 years. Gerald has served on numerous boards and committees, and is currently a member of the REIC Edmonton Chapter Board.
Dan Van Willegen, CPM®
Dan is the principal/owner/Broker of Record at Management Professionals Realty Ltd., specializing in property management within the Greater Toronto Area. He holds a Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation, Registered Condominium Manager (RCM) designation, Accredited Member of the Institute of Housing Management (AIHM) designation, and a BA from the University of Waterloo. He is also an instructor for OREA and ACMO.
Leo Ziadé, FRI
Leo started his career in 1977 as Director of Trust Royal while preparing the launch of his real estate agency Invest Gain Ltee. He obtained the FRI accreditation in 1995 and CMR in 1986. Throughout his successful career, Leo has been a member of the chamber of commerce Canada-Lebanon and President of the REIC Quebec Chapter. He holds bachelor degrees in computer science and business administration.
