FRI Requirements & Fees
Applying for the program is the first step in the membership process. Once your application is approved, and you have paid your annual membership fee, you will become a Candidate Member and have access to member benefits.
Education Requirements
The courses you need to successfully complete are:
REIC2600 - Ethics in Business Practice
- Member rate: $650 + tax
- Non-member rate: $850 + tax
REIC2270 - Consumer Behaviour & Negotiating
- Member rate: $650 + tax
- Non-member rate: $850 + tax
and one (1) of the following:
REIC2360 - The Leasing Process
- Member rate: $1,075 + tax
- Non-member rate: $1,325 + tax
REIC2280 - Legal Issues in Real Estate
- Member rate: $520 + tax
- Non-member rate: $660 + tax
Experience Requirements
To complete the FRI program and obtain the designation you will need to have at least five (5) years of real estate sales experience.
Once you have fulfilled all your experience and education requirements, you will have an interview with an REIC Member from your local Chapter, and then membership will be granted.
In order to earn and maintain the FRI designation, you must pledge to uphold the REIC Code of Professional Standards and pay annual membership dues to the Institute.
Dues Information
To maintain your candidacy and then the fully designated membership, there are ongoing yearly membership dues.
Both Candidate and Membership Dues are $580.00 plus tax on average.
